DAY ONE: Here, Abraham challenges God. And I even think that "challenges" is a harsh word. I feel like Abraham is making a plea for Sodom for his own piece of mind. But I think the important part is that he's calling out to God! A lot of times, people ask me why don't good people go to heaven? My answer is this: You have to have faith. What does this have to do with prayer? A lot, actually. In this passage, Abraham is praying and pleading for the righteous; and Abraham is praying and pleading to the right person. Our Lord. Our Savior. He loves it when we pray to him, whether it be out of joy or angst or hurt or even pleading a case. God wants to hear what we have to say, He wants us to be bold and call out to Him. He wants to hear us, and He wants to heal us.
